Our story
Spices with a sense of place.
GHI began with a simple frustration: supermarket spices that looked the part but tasted of nothing. So we went to the source.

Meet Shukla
Founder, GHI Foods
“A spice should carry the memory of where it grew. My job is to make sure it still does by the time it reaches your kitchen.”
I grew up around food that took spices seriously. When I started GHI, I wanted to close the gap between the farm and the family table, without the dilution and the long warehouse months in between.
Today we work hand in hand with growers across India, taste every lot before we buy it, and pack in small, frequent runs. It is slower. It is also the only way the cardamom smells like cardamom.
Meet Shukla
To enrich everyday cooking with spices that are honest about where they came from.
Ethically sourced, fully traceable, and graded for flavour first. That is the whole brief, and we hold every batch to it.
How we work
Sourced with intent
We buy direct from growers and pick single-origin lots by aroma and potency, not by price alone.
Certified to the core
Every batch meets FSSAI, APEDA, ISO and Spice Board of India standards, with paperwork to match.
Packed for aroma
Spices are cleaned, graded and sealed quickly, so the jar you open smells like the field it came from.
Certified and audited to national standards
