Privacy Policy

This page explains what we collect when you use ghifoods.com, why we collect it and who sees it. We collect only what we need to run the shop. We do not sell your information.

What we collect

Your name, email, mobile number and delivery address, when you order or write to us.
What you ordered and what you paid.
Your GSTIN and business name, only if you enter them for a business order.
Your email address as your login, if you create an account.
Whether you chose to receive our emails about recipes and offers.
Basic technical information that every website receives, such as IP address, browser type and the time of a request. Our hosting provider records this for security.

Payments

Payments are handled by Cashfree Payments. You enter your card, UPI or netbanking details on their secure page. We never see or store those details. We receive only the payment status and the kind of method used.

Why we use it

To process, deliver and invoice your order, and to email you about it.
To answer your questions and handle returns and refunds.
To send recipes and offers, only if you opted in. Every such email has an unsubscribe link.
To prevent fraud and misuse.
To keep the tax and accounting records the law requires.

Who we share it with

Only the companies that help us run the shop, and only what each one needs:

the payment gateway, to take your payment and send refunds;
courier companies, to deliver your parcel (name, address, phone number);
our email, hosting and database providers, who store and send information on our instructions;
the AI service behind the help assistant, if you choose to use it: your messages and the order details needed to answer them are processed by that provider;
government or tax authorities, when the law requires it.

Some of these providers process data on servers outside India.

Cookies and device storage

We use what the shop needs to work: a sign-in cookie if you have an account, and storage in your browser for your cart, the delivery details you last entered on that device and the messages you have dismissed. We do not use advertising trackers. Payment pages and embedded content from other services, such as Instagram, may set their own cookies under their own policies.

How long we keep it

We keep order and invoice records for as long as tax and accounting laws require, which is several years. We keep account and newsletter details until you ask us to delete them or unsubscribe.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will delete what the law does not require us to keep. You can stop marketing emails at any time with the unsubscribe link. Write to care@ghifoods.com from the email address you ordered with.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and restricted staff access. No website can promise perfect security. If you think your account has been misused, tell us straight away.

Children

The shop is meant for adults. If you are under 18, please order with a parent or guardian.

Changes

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page. The version on this page is the one that applies.
